I too had a scare like that a few months ago....ended up needing surgery.

Started having discomfort on my right marble, then felt a noticeable lump above it. Self-diagnosed as a hernia....so I went to my doc.
Had inguinal hernia surgery 4 days later. Luckily I have great insurance, would've cost me upwards of $7000.

My advice....never help anyone move their 400lb+ bed.
